 Yesterday our Board Member, Lisa Guerrero, took off for the weekend to Cali, Colombia. She hand delivered this morning to the family, whose house burned down, a suitcase full of donations from our Cali, Volunteers and $140 USD for them to use. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to donate, pray or keep this family in their thoughts. A very special thanks to the Miami International Airport American Airlines employees (pictured on the left) for having a fundraiser for the family. Lisa's mom, Claudia Peña, put together a fundraiser for the employees to donate $5 and be allowed to wear jean's on Valentine's Day. They raised $140 for the family and gave her the cash before she took off! Below is a picture of the family meeting Lisa for the first time and a short video dedicated to our UF Chapter Students.
