The Equal Access Clinic Network at UF is a student run free healthcare clinic which is staffed with medical school students and UF College of Medicine faculty. Clinical services provided at each clinic vary by availability of providers and have included internal medicine (primary care), obstetric gynecology (women's health), dental exams, and pediatrics. Reaching our community is key and is made possible by partnering with the Rural Women's Health Project which has a list serve of more than 800 community members to reach.
The clinic is hosted at Parkview Baptist Church. The health initiative interns are also central in terms of planning for each clinic before the COVID-19 pandemic: CBOB would host health fairs and include partner organizations who provided health education and social services resources. The health fairs served an average of 40 patients. |

However, due to COVID-19 CBOB has been hosting health clinics that provide select health care services (e.g. primary care, women's health, or pediatrics). Clinics are by appointment only. Another way that the team has adopted since the pandemic is by providing health education through creating videos that can be shared through social media or text messaging services such as WhatsApp. The health team has created videos focused on increasing knowledge about COVID-19 for both children and their families.
