Mecatos Bakery gives a monthly portion to Children Beyond Our Borders to work with the girls at the Hogar Maria Isabel de Bedout in Medellin, Colombia. The program includes materials needed at the home and education workshops provided to girls in  a weekly class. Our IAMCBOB scholars give back as a part of their scholarship program and their project is working weekly with the girls. The proceeds that Mecatos provides snacks, all workshop materials and anything necessary for the teachers to continue their work at the girls' home.
If you want to learn more about the IAMCBOB Scholarship check out the IAMCBOB tab under "Programs." We have been working with this home for girls since 2013 and are delighted to continue serving them. Our partnership with Mecatos is relatively new but we are excited to measure our project's outcome and provide more details in the upcoming year.
