OUR CHILDREN. At CBOB, education is at the heart of what we stand for. First and foremost, we strive to educate the children we work with abroad through workshops on life values that help pave a brighter future for each of them.
OUR FAMILY. Education for the members of the CBOB Family about the issues of poverty and social injustice faced by children in Latin America is also central to our values. By educating our network of past and previous volunteers, staff, directors, donors, and supporters, we are ensuring the development of the best programs for our children.
OUR COMMUNITY. To educate our local and international community about our cause is the key to growing our family of supporters who wish to give all children a life of opportunities, peace, and hope. Through the use of social media outlets, educational videos, presentations at schools and community events, and by word of mouth, we aim to spread awareness of CBOB’s mission while empowering the community to join us in our efforts.
IDEAS. We look to our network of supporters – from our student chapters and volunteers to our donors – to help us develop innovative ways to impact our children. Thinking outside the box is the key to creating successful fundraising projects, awareness campaigns, and workshops that will best execute CBOB’s mission across borders.
CULTURE. CBOB’s Latin American roots permeate its endeavors. We seek to immerse our family of supporters into the richness of Latin American culture that CBOB’s children share. Whether it’s through partaking in the life-changing Bound For Peace service trips to Colombia and Nicaragua or coming to our events, experiencing the cultural traditions of our children in one way or another gets us closer to achieving our goals of serving them.
LOVE. To be a part of CBOB’s mission is, ultimately, to be a part of a mission of love. Whether you’re serving our children as a volunteer, a donor, or a carrier of our message to others, love is experienced through our shared desire to provide our children with futures full of achieved dreams. It’s not a coincidence that CBOB members past and present continue to use the coined term “CBOB love” to describe what it means to be a part of this family.
